Congrats to Nikki M who just qualified for the Preliminary Championship level! Nikki placed 1st in her Slip Jig at the Horgan Feis in Connecticut. By doing so she completed all her qualifying requirements. YEAH!!!!!
To qualify for preliminary championships, a student must place 1st two times in each dance (reel, slip jig, hornpipe and treble jig) in both the novice and prizewinner levels. We are one of the few schools in our region who have such a demanding requirement. Clearly it paid off when this year our program produced a 100% placement record in our regional championships.
As of right now Melissa R and Rachel M are both just one placement away from qualifying for prelims.
Congrats also go out to Josie C who won 1st place at the Boston-area North Shore Feis 2 weeks ago. This was Josie’s 1st of the 2 required to move up to our highest champ level, Open Champs. In this same category we also have Corinne D and Emily K, so all three are just one win away from Open Champs.
CONGRATS to ALL these students!!!!! You make us proud and show us that hard work does get results.
