If you weren't able to join us for our 26th, for a St. Stephen's Day celebration at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, you can still watch the performance online.

Dancers from the Culkin School joined musicians Billy McComiskey, Zan McLeod and Jimmy Eagan for this annual tradition. Video of the show will be available via the Kennedy Center's website. (It usually takes a day for the link to go active, so be sure to keep checking if it isn't yet loaded!

Congratulations to Megan Howard, TCRG, on passing the Irish dance certification exam.  Megan has been with the school since we started our adult classes in 1995. She is currently an assistant teacher for our adult classes in Bethesda on Monday nights.

The TCRG is a very difficult exam, and we are all very proud of Megan’s accomplishment. Hard work pays off again. Congrats also to Megan’s husband Ben and her two children Riley and Molly.

The Culkin School cancellation policy is as follows:

Culkin School Emergency Closure Policy:  We follow the Montgomery County school system. If school or after-school activities are cancelled due to weather or other emergencies, no classes will be held. If schools open 1-2 hours late, regular dance classes will be held. If schools dismiss early, please check the answering machine at 301-593-9600 or the Culkin Yahoo! Group for the latest word.

Congratulations to Phillip S for his win in the Boys Under 17 competition and qualifying for Worlds.

Congratulations to Corrine M for qualifying for worlds and placing 8th in Girls Under 15.

Congratulations to Cierra O for qualifying for Worlds and placing 11th in Girls Under 13

Congratulations to all our dancers who recalled and placed, including: Margot W 17th in Girls U11; Moira R 21st in Girls U13; Sean R 10th in Boys U13; Molly L 18th, Kelly M 19th, Allie P 37th and Milena M 38th in Girls Under 15; Corrine D 14th, Rebecca M 21st, Megan W 42nd and Maggie M 45th in Girls Under 16; Nikki M 23rd and Rachel K 38th in Girls Under 17; and Elizabeth A 15th in Ladies Under 18.

Congratulations to the Ladies A and the Cross Reel team for winning the Ladies 4 Hand and Ladies 8 Hand Ceili competitions for the 4th year in a row Team members included Tammy L, Erin W, KC F and Denise O on the 4-hand, who were joined by Debbie K, Amy T, Julie D and Melissa D for the Cross Reel.

Congratulations to the rest of our adult ceili teams: Mixed 4 Hand team placed 2nd and in the Ladies 4 Hand, Team C placed 4th, Team B placed 5th and Team D placed 6th and in the Ladies 8 Hand, the High Cauled Cap team placed 2nd.

... and while not in Atlanta, a big CONGRATS to Kate and Ed P on the arrival of their twin daughters, Mairead and Brighid.
