Is Irish Dancing for You?

Here at the Culkin School, we understand that everyone’s needs are different. We realize Glen Echo Boysthat some are tentative about committing to an entire year of Irish dance, so we’ve developed an introductory program which will give your dancer a taste of Irish dance.

Our Spring are 8-10 week classes for children who have no experience between the ages of 5 & 10. These introductory classes are once a week, only 45 minutes long and cover the basics of Irish dancing. If your dancer is interested, they can continue by registering for our Summer Camp Program and/or our fall classes


Glen Echo CircleOur Summer Camp Programs start in July and end in August. We offer week-long sessions (M-F) for beginner dancers at Glen Echo Park.

These classes are two hours long and are geared towards teaching beginner dancers, between the ages of 6 & 10, the basics of Irish céilí dancing. If your dancer is interested, they can join our program in the Fall.


If your dancer knows they want to Irish dance then our Full-Time Yearly Program is for them! Dancers with no experience between the ages of 5 & 10 can join our Beginner Classes. Classes are offered once a week and are 45 minutes long and focus on the basics of Irish traditional solo dancing.


If you are an adult interested in learning how to Irish dance, it is NEVER too late! Our Adult Program is held  at Glen Echo Park, MD and has four quarters. Each session is approximately eight weeks long and start in September, December, February and April. Whether you are new to Irish dancing or danced years ago as a child, the Adult Program has the perfect fit for you!
