Blizzard 2016!!

A quick reminder that The Culkin School follows Montgomery County Public Schools for weather and emergency closings.  We will NOT HAVE CLASSES on Monday, January 25 or Tuesday January 26 due to the extreme weather conditions.  We will update again about later in the week… hopefully we will see a plow sometime soon…  🙂

Bring A Friend To Irish Dance Class

Between Saturday, January 23 and Thursday, January 28 dancers in class levels 1-3 are encouraged to bring along a friend to Irish Dance to show them how it’s done! If you are a dancer in level 4 and up, either talk to your instructor or invite your friend to a lower level class and go with them!  Visiting dancers do not need to know a current Culkin dancer in order to visit – anyone is welcome!

Visitors do not need to sign up in advance, but if they would like to here is a link.  And anyone who visits and then signs up for a weekly class (starting now) or a spring minimester will receive a $10 discount for having visited.

Christmas Holiday Ceili on Dec 20!

‘Tis the season to celebrate all things good and wholesome! Join the Culkin School at the Christmas Holiday season Ceili on Sunday, December 20 from 1:30-5:30pm! The festive holiday party will be at the Knights of Columbus Rosensteel, 9707 Rosensteel Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Congratulations!!

A HUGE congratulations to all of the Culkin School dancers who made us proud at the Regional Championships in Dallas! We are proud to announce that Culkin remains the reigning Regional Champions for both the adult 4 and 8 hand competitions! Our solo dancers brought it HOME! We have 10 World Championship Qualifiers heading to Glasgow in March! We have 22 National Qualifiers heading to Orlando in July! We also had two 1st place Traditional Set competitors, Lynne H and Quincy M! All in all a GREAT weekend! Go CULKIN!
